What is a hajri card?

A hajri card (also written hajiri card, hazri card or हाजिरी कार्ड) is a worker's monthly attendance card. It has a box for each day of the month. The employer marks P for present, A for absent, ½ for half-day and writes overtime hours. At month end the total days are multiplied by the daily wage, advances (kharchi) are subtracted, and the worker is paid.

Contractors, shop owners, factory supervisors, farm owners and security agencies all use hajri cards or a hajri register. The problem is the paper: cards go missing, entries get changed, and month-end totals are calculated by hand.

How to make a hajri card in the app

2. Add your workers with name, phone number and daily wage or monthly salary.
3. Mark hajri every day: Present, Absent, Half-Day, Double Shift or overtime hours.
4. Add kharchi whenever you give an advance.
5. Share the hajri card and salary slip with the worker on WhatsApp at month end.
